It freaks me out when he talks in his sleep.
Anybody else's hub do this?
I also want to say a big, blessed congratulations to Jace and Jodi over at Billy and Green as they welcome their newest daughter, Maisie Jay, born on Wednesday! You might remember Jodi from here and here. She was my roommate in our pre-hub years and also the maid of honor in my wedding. I love her. And I'm also slightly jealous of her
"hotty-with-a-naughty-body-even-when-she's-pregnant" body.
Ok, a lot jealous.
Ok, a lot jealous.
But anyway...
Maisie's birth, combined with Steele's first "big kid" event - swim lessons tomorrow - got me thinking about this moment:
And this moment:
And what joy at this moment:

And how sometimes it's hard to remember this boy:
Oh Lord in your mercy, your time, your goodness - would you fill our home with these sweet ones?
Behold, children are a gift of the LORD,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one's youth.
How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them;
They will not be ashamed
When they speak with their enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127: 3-5

Psalm 127: 3-5
As for man, his days are like grass,
he flourishes like a flower of the field;
the wind blows over it and it is gone,
and its place remembers it no more.
But from everlasting to everlasting
the LORD's love is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children's children-
with those who keep his covenant
and remember to obey his precepts.
Psalm 103: 15-18
*Now can anybody in their right mind (because obviously I am not) please tell me how I got from freaky to Bible verses? Oh man. Gotta love a wacko. (I cannot get this off of italics!!!)

Wow, those baby pictures are soooo adorable! Thanks for sharing them! If a houseful is what you want, then I think God will see to it that you get your houseful :)
Oh, babies!!! Isn't hard to remember them so little? I could handle 1 or 2 more... but I also like where we are as a family, too. But those little cheeks!! OH, MY! babies.... I love them.

Thanks for sharing those sweet photos... your family has been in my prayers. I have been thinking about you all frequently :)
What a precious baby! My husband talks in his sleep, and walks and on occasion stares at me. Ugh, freaks me out just thinking about it!
nope, hubby does not talk in his sleep. I am sure I do not want to hear what is going on at that time...I remember some of those precious moments (Steele's birth)myself. Bittersweet for me. As you follow God's leading in parenting, I am sure He will see that you good and faithful servants can be trusted with many of His children. Praying that way.
Yeah my husband is a sleep talker, but he speaks in Russian. And you know how scary of a language Russian is. AHHH. Totally creepy. Couldn't he have learned a more pretty second language.
Yes - Jodi is a hottie with a naughty body - and that is my favorite saying :)
Noodle talks in her sleep! And walks in her sleep, too! The other night she headed upstairs to our room to go to the bathroom.
Sadly, there's no bathroom up there.
Heh.....Don't worry, I stopped her in time. It's so weird, though! You'd never know she wasn't awake if you didn't know her well! The only thing that's different is that she stutters when she's sleep-talking.
Congrats to Jodi!!!! I just love the name Maisey!
