A Revelation

Today, somewhere between reading my friend Koti's blog and seeing Adele on t.v., I had a revelation:

Why am I not spending time doing things I am passionate about while spending way too much time on something that I'm not?

For example:

1. I want to learn to play the piano with wild abandon. I've always wanted to be able to just sit down at the piano and write a song.

2. I want to teach my children to play the violin (Steele is a bit young for this, but still...)

3. I want to take dance classes again - hip hop maybe.

4. I want my family to live in another country for a while.

5. I want to have a chemical free vegetable garden. With blueberries. And maybe some chickens roaming around.

6. I want to paint Bible verses over the doorways in my house.

7. I want to make a quilt.... and a cable knit sweater.

8. I want to play my viola again.

9. I want to adopt more babies.

I think I shall start making plans to do these things. Very soon.

i've wanted to paint Bible verses over my doors, on my walls, for *years*, now... and have never done that.

:)

and i'd LOVE to play the piano but i don't think that will EVER happen. i'm not that motivated.

Hey Cutzi! It's always good to have goals! And, even better to write them down. I think I'll make a goal list of my own. I took piano lessons 6 years ago...it was so hard for me. You are musical so I think you'll be okay!xoxo Christine

I love your plans!
I also love the things you already are doing.
1) being a good helper and lover to your husband.
2) loving and enjoying and disciplining your kid's daily.
3) studying God's word
4) owning your own business and making it successful
5) dressing cute daily
6) ironing all your and your families clothes
7) being a good and faithful friend
8) spending time with you grandma, mom and siblings
9) being an example and a blessing to others
10) feeding your kids and yourself a healthy diet
I will stop now, but there are so many amazing things that you do that you don't want to push aside.
One day at a time (at least that is what I tell myself).

Cutzi... I love this list! I think I want to play the piano too, maybe we can learn as we teach our children. I can't wait to hear how some of these things develop in your life!

Love your plans...you're a smart cookie! (you can get vinyl lettering and then you just stick it above the doors and it looks awesome!)

Hey - what Amy said! It's hard to fit it all in, but look at all the stuff you DO do! Raising little ones (and doing it well) is such a big job!

You're the coolest!
