Steele (age 4.5) tonight as he was hugging his sister goodnight: I'll try not to be so grumpy to you tomorrow, Adia.
Hey, at least he's trying! I tell ya, that boy melts my heart - especially when he tells me I'm such a cutie-pie.
Not much new on the elimination diet front.
Breakfast: oatmeal, blueberries, cinnamon and agave nectar again.
An apple somewhere in here.
Lunch: Ethiopian cabbage again
Herbal tea and another apple somewhere in here.
Dinner: sautéed asparagus and an avocado.
Awfully boring and sparse, I know. I was really busy today though and we were at my mom's around dinner time so I went and got everyone a Costco pizza and churros. I just needed to eat something fast before I inhaled that dairy-covered, gluten-loaded pepperoni pie. I had really odd feelings after dinner - I told my mom that even though I hadn't touched a bit of pizza or churro I felt like I had just overeaten. I'm hoping to eat something a bit more interesting tomorrow. I also promised my friend and fellow high school alum, Denise, that I'd post my dinner plans for the next two weeks.

Well, I got inspired and I bought all of the smoothie stuff for the detox phase last night! Here I go...
I also bought the Whole Life Nutrition cookbook (it was highly recommended by my nutritionist friend, as well as several other friends - including my Aunt, who is an acupunturist and Master of Chinese herbal medicine), some licorice root tea for my liver, and some lavender bath salts to soak in this weekend.
I think I've told you before, I'm a meal-planner addict. I've already got plans for some stuff I'm cooking ahead-of-time, and my family will be eating 3 meals this week out of the crock-pot just to save me the time. Even last night, I cooked up a bunch of ground beef in preparation!
My problem is - say I make cabbage and quinoa soup - my husband is the world's pickiest eater. He won't touch it, even if I add chicken. So I think I'll be going the route of cooking two completely separate meals most of the time. Fortunately, I'm a crock-pot genius. heheh.
Today, I'll be making up some homemade vegetable stock to use in some of the yummy soups I saw on their website!
Sorry I wrote so much... guess I'm just excited. ;)
Love the happy daddy laugh in this video!
And oh what a driveway for big wheel riding!!
