This was me only a little more than 24 short hours ago.

It's hard to smile when you have bubble gum peeling off your walls in big strips and your muscular, patient, scraper wielding husband isn't due home until the next day....
But today? Today? I have died and gone to paint heaven. Because you see, after the husband has returned home and a little more scraping and sanding has been accomplished...after one coat of primer has been applied over the whole kitchen and my sweetest ever neighbor has shown up with a Starbucks mug to match my new paint and some good conversation to lighten my mood.... I have this!

Vintage Map! I knew I could count on you
Martha!

And sorry Posie, but your
River's Edge blue? It sucked. At least in my kitchen. I love
you but the paint was hideous.

But Vintage Map? Glorious, wonderful, beautiful, cheeful, retro-ish, "vintage-y" Vintage Map?
Rocks!

And it even looks decent with my dark brown 70's cabinets with the handles in the middle of the doors. You know, just in case I don't get around to painting them for a while...

Looks great!
And the look on your face is hilarious.
Nice work.
Oh Cutzi I love your colors and I know the ongoing "unfinished" feeling you have been living with. It looks beautiful. What brand is the paint. I love the Vintage Map. Congrats on the finished project. It is finished, isn't it?

Looks great, Cutzi! Great job!

It looks fabulous! I am just dying to paint a room, but alas, the plight of the renter does not permit me to do so. I'll just file "Vintage Map" away for future reference and live vicariously through your kitchen.
looks good. Reminds me of my bedroom color.
Please come help me with my house! I am so terrified of putting anything on my walls, therefore the whole house is painted the same color throughout.
HELP!

Woo hoo! I'm so glad you have finally resolved this problem.
I'm so glad Martha has a paint line at Lowe's. When she was at Kmart I had EVERY SINGLE ONE of her paint swatches. Including the thirty-eight color combo swatches. I still have them. They're sitting in a box on the shelf right next to me.
I love the Vintage Map. And you're right, it's the perfect color to go with your brown cabinets. Nicely done.
It looks great with your brown cabinets - I love the color!

The Kitchen looks FABULOUS! Love that color with your cabinets...and lets face it. Your cabinets are clean enough inside that you could just leave the cupboards off :) It looks good like that!
