I Think I Have a Mucocele

You can read about them here.

Isn't that weird?

It's not really that big of a deal but I hate stuff like this - purely annoying and time consuming. I'll probably have to have minor oral surgery on it - I'm hoping so at this point as it's so annoying. They just take it out and give you a few stitches and then you have to eat soup for a few days. Maybe I'll lose a couple pounds - gotta think on the bright side of things.

In other news.... I wish I could give you a skincare/makeup update but I can't. I need to make a decision soon as I'm almost out of my Aveda stuff. Can somebody with some of these problems help me out? My pores seem so huge lately and I used to be able to pick at my zits at least a little bit - but now it just makes huge scars on my face. I don't really have wrinkles and I'm only 32 so I don't know if it's necessary for me to be using extreme anti-aging stuff. Is 32 old now?

To top it all off - I'm noticing what I think are little spider veins on my legs!! Is there any way at all that I can manage any of this stuff or is it just all downhill from here?? Please don't think I obsess about this stuff all day long - I don't really.... only at night when I'm surfing the web researching stuff, just washed my face and used the last of my Aveda toner and almost have to tie my hands together to keep from picking at the zit just under the skin on my cheek. Argh!

The system that has worked best for me for controlling break-outs is washing with Cetaphil, using 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel, and following up with a mild moisturizer (I use Purpose). If I do this every morning and every evening, I remain mostly zit-free. The key is using 2.5% bp--it doesn't dry my face out, and it seems to keep the shine and pore size under control. I get the bp gel from acne.org for around $8/bottle. For make-up, I love Bare Minerals, and regardless of where you buy it, you should be able to return it if you don't love it. And no, 32 is NOT old.

I say just don’t choose anything that involves a pyramid scheme! It just never seems to work out!

Also, there is something to be said for the convenience of acquiring the stuff. If you run out, you want to be able to get what you need when you need it!

Hmmmm. This seems like a hormonal issue. I wash with Neutrogena and use ROC day/night cream. I recently checked Origins because they have a "big" pore line. I was looking for my husband but decided he'd waste it. xoxo Christine

:( poor girl! I hope it isn't painful!!
as far as skin care...I LOVE Dermalogica...it's made a huge difference in my skin. I use the set for normal/oily skin and it's fabulous but they have all kinds for whatever you need :)

Ugh.

I'm going to post about this. Because I have some serious issues, too, sistah. And I agree with Amy about the convenience factor on acquiring whichever elixir you choose.
