Phew!

Call off search and rescue! I got a new iron!

From where else but....Costco! Love that place.

I even followed all the pre-ironing instructions in the manual.

In other blogging news - I've recently set up a bloglines account so I can keep up with all of you a bit more easily. I love that I can see who's put up a new post at the click of -one- button. The only problem is that I don't seem to keep up with everyone's comments as much.

We also went to a fancy shmancy wedding this past weekend. I took a few pictures that I'll put up soon.

Wow - good news you got a new iron. And good girl for reading the manual.

So, I know that you're already set up on Bloglines, but did you know that Google Reader also does the same stuff? I especially like it b/c I don't have to log into a different site.

I love that too. I am sure there is a way to suscribe to comments. I think it must be a choice the blogger makes. Some of the blogs I have have an option to "suscribe to comments." We have to figure this out because I like reading some people's comments on some things. If you know what I mean!

This is Jodi. I'm too lazy to log myself in on Jace's computer.

Well...please update us if you find a way to subscribe to comments, because I'm with you. I'd waste a lot less time if I knew who had updated their blogs, but I really enjoy reading other peoples' comments.

Maybe Michelle knows how?

Amy & Jodi - As far as I know - there isn't a way to make the comments of a post part of Google Reader or Bloglines. What these programs do is visit these websites on a regular basis and 'notice' if there is something new. As comments are in a separate page (ie: you have to click on a link to get to them) and there is a new page for each post, I imagine this would be a pretty hard to do. Also consider, especially with high traffic sites, how many comments there could be!

You can always go to the blog directly from Google Reader (assuming it's the same for Bloglines) and read comments from there.

And of course once you've commented, on Blogger and likely on other blogging programs, you can check the box to be emailed new comments if you want to follow a discussion. Blogger requires this be done on a per-post basis.

What I think Cutzi's point was is that these programs make it easy to read new posts but as you don't actually go to the site, you miss the comments entirely (you can't even see if there are any).

I usually only go to the site and click on comments if I have something to comment (which is pretty rare).

Awesome!!! What kind of iron did you get? What features does it have? I wanna know the whole scoop!!!

Well, sorry Jess. There's not much of a scoop to report. This is how I buy a lot of things. I go to Costco and get whatever they have. If they have two I get the cheaper one. That's what I did this time. It's a Shark. It was like $30 or $35 I think. The other one was a Rowenta for $50.

I probably should have gotten the Rowenta. There are a few things off the bat that I don't like about the Shark. 1. It doesn't seem to get hot enough for my taste and 2. It doesn't have an "off" switch. You have to unplug it or it turns off by itself. But never completely - there's always a light that's flashing at you.

I'll keep you posted though. ;-)
