I feel like I'm preparing for battle. There has been a terrible stomach virus going around and as of about 7 or so tonight I thought we had somehow evaded it. That is, until I called my mom and found out she has been throwing up all afternoon. Now, this wouldn't be so bad if only this morning's fateful scene didn't keep flashing through my mind: Our adorable, fresh-faced, rosy cheeked family walking into church 10 unusual minutes early and me unknowingly and willingly (even happily) passing my sweet little daughter into the loving and CONTAMINATED arms of her grandmother!
I understand, with every piece of logic in me, that if we are destined to violent fits of vomit there is pretty much nothing I can do to prevent it - but darn it, I'm gonna give it everything I have. And if I can't prevent it I'm going to be prepared for it. Because if there is anything worse than your child throwing up all over your chest and into your hair - it's got to be your child throwing up all over your chest and into your hair and not having any clean towels to mop it up with.
I've sprayed every door handle and every visible toy with Lysol and washed my hands more than several times. I sent Justin to the store for Pedialyte and 7-Up. We have bananas and Saltines. I even picked up all the clothes off my bedroom floor so I would be sure and have a clear path to the kids' room and bathroom. I told Justin that, while I appreciate his optimism, I hope he is praying his heart out that we don't get this. The thought even crossed my mind, as I was "spraying Lysol over the doorframes" of our house that the Lord could just pass right over us with this one....I wouldn't mind one bit. I'm begging actually. Pleading.
And somehow, in the confusion of it all I guess - I missed the Grammys! I'm not much of one for awards shows but I love music and I love the Grammys. And I missed it. Oh well - do you think they will show it on-line? I hope so.

Those are some yummy pictures, miss Cutzi!
And Amy? Yes. The girl's got some soul, but she is **messed up**.
Speaking of messed up - Noodle was talking in a British accent this weekend, so Zuddy kept calling her Britney.
Hope you're all still healthy over there :)
Oh, yes. I, too have been praying we'll be passed over for the stomach virus. We went grocery shopping Friday night and I had my package of wipes with me wiping down EVERY cart part and my kids' hands about 100 times. I am very sure people walking by thought I was a little nutso. I am.
Saying a prayer that you guys won't get it! :)
Oh, and I noticed online that some Amy Winehouse girl had won a bunch of Grammy awards and I was like, "WHO?!?!?" I am so out of touch. So I hopped over to itunes to listen to her and decided she's not really my thing.
Happy Lysol-filled day!

This has been the Winter of Sick. I almost typed Sock... Either way, no fun!!! I sure hope you are passed over. I loved your analogy of spraying Lysol on your door frames. That gave me a chuckle.
I love Amy Winehouse's voice, but she's just nutso. I'm thinking she's not going to be around much longer if she doesn't change her ways. I hope I'm wrong.
Gross. I just prayed for sickie protection for you guys. I'm kind of glad I'm far away. My mom and dad better watch out, though. They could always transport it to us this weekend.
Cutie pics.
Those cheeks kill me!
I'm so sorry. I really hope you don't get it. You are right, puking without back up help is awful. It's even worse when it's in the car. I can give you tips on cleaning up after that....I'm a pro.
can't wait to hear....that nothing has happened
What's the word??? Any sicko's??
Uh-oh.
I have a feeling you're all sick over there.....are you okay?
Thinking about you!
xoxox,
