But not quite...

I'd fill you all in on the ongoing saga of my hair but really, who wants to relive that? In the mean time, I'm letting it grow just a tad and then I'll try someone new.... again.
Am I right though? Here's what I think: bangs a little shorter/funkier, sides a little longer, back a little rounder?

I think you're being too hard on yourself...It's adorable! You look beautiful!
You're hot.
Cutzi, perhaps it would be perfection if you had those stylistic differences (perhaps not) but it's quite amazing now. I'm not just saying that to be nice. I've not seen a better haircut on you than this one.
I honestly LOVE it! I agree with Nicola 100%. Whatever happened to that amazing person at Tangles we went to 10 years ago?
Um... I think it's SUPER cute! I don't know what you're talking about- it truly looks fantastic!
I agree with Jodi. Totally.
Very cute...but if you ever try to recreate a haircut in photo again, perhaps you could choose one that is a little CLOSER, and from a BETTER ANGLE. Sheesh! It looks really cute, and the extra long sides in the photo might just be a little too long for Whatcom County anyway...or maybe that's what the hairdresser thought.
You guys are awesome... thanks for all your sweet compliments.
Here's the thing - I don't hate it. I actually think it's an ok haircut - it's just not quite what I wanted. I don't really know how to describe it except for that I wanted funky/vintagy and I think it looks more sleek/contemporary. Does that make sense?
Melinda - you are too funny. The actual picture I took in was closer up and clearer. ;-) And the side view was the most important part of it!!
Cutzi I love it. Keep it just as is. Chelsea said she had a great conversation with sweet Steele. She said he told you he "likes"her. How sweet is that boy. Have fun with my family later this month...wish I could be there.
I think it's adorable, but I hear what you're saying about funky/vintagy vs. sleek/contemporary. It looks like your haircut has more layers (that start higher up) in the back, but you'll also need a lot of product to get the kind of texture the model has. Where did you find this cut?
I don't know where I found it! That's another problem. I'm so glad I saved the photo on my computer. It was on some blog I read... I thought for sure it was Dear Golden Vintage but I searched and couldn't find it again.
I do love product though... yummy smelling Aveda product..
Verrry cute. While your hair is in its sleek/contemporary phase, make use of all your "mature" outfits and get super sick of them, so when you get it cut all edgy and funky, you'll be ready for all your vintagy outfits.
And this *advice* is all coming from a girl who wears tees and runners all day. Niiiice.
Ok.. Here's my 2 cents. Great choice of a style! It is perfect for all your features!.
Now here is my opinion as a hairstylist:
When looking for the next hairstylist to cut this for you, ask them if they are comfortable with disconnected cuts, then show them the picture. Most hairstylists who can really do it will jump right on it... because its fun once you know how to do it! If they say, 'I can easily figure out how to do that cut.' Don't let them do it. Its a you do or you don't kind of thing.
Also for the bangs to be a little more 'funky' try to find someone who is comfortable cutting with a razor. With your coarse hair it will make a big difference.
Next: For the back to be rounder that means shorter on the crown of your head. Be prepared for that.
Last: You might want to try some piecing paste, or texturizing pomade for the funky bangs and the sharp point.
Just some thoughts!
:D Good luck!
Oooo! Me likey!
Lawsy,
If I had hair like that.......
its possitively adorable on you you sassy little thing~
