Sisters

I, who have no sisters or brothers, look with some degree of innocent envy on those who may be said to be born to friends.

A sister is a little bit of childhood that can never be lost.

it is such a joy to have sister's. Eloise and Lily bring me so much laughter and joy when they play (nicely :)) I love the sound of them giggling together. So cute!

sweetness. sisters. sweetness.

i just, for some weird reason, got one of your comments asking where I get my inspiration. Hmmm, I'm afraid I might not give the best answer to this question. All I know is, I love color! I like unique colors together, colors and fabrics have always spoken to me. I also knew, being in Bellingham, that I wanted brighter colors because it can often be so grey out (that's how I chose the blue in our LR). I'm highly intuitive in a lot of areas in my life, so I kind of just go with how I feel- which lends itself to not helpful advice. However, no decorator am I, but if you ever want to talk colors or decor I would love to. It would also be fun to have you and the gang over sometime- we can chat. Kids can play. Love reading your blog- you're such a great writer and on many levels I can totally relate- especially with the last blog (lest I complain).

Loving these pictures.

Sisters are such a blessing. Like a built-in best friend. What blessed little girls. :)

One of my greatest joys is watching my grown up 20 something daughters enjoy each other, laugh, share an inside joke, make fun of me...They will be the best of friends forever. Obviously true for Xochi and Adia too. Oh I just love those enormous cheeks!

I just spent several hours hanging out in the hospital with my sister Terri before, during, and after Grandma's surgery. It could have been yesterday, 10 years ago, a lifetime. We never stop being the only two people who really know each other.

I really love that third one down, where the girls are looking at one another. It grieves me that I have three siblings (including one sister) and none of us are particularly close. I do so want my guys to be buddies when they're grown and gone.
