There is really not much one has to do outside of the house.
A person could easily stay inside for days on end and be perfectly content.
Especially at Christmas time.

It's amazing how much knitting I can get done while sitting in the front window watching my kids play in the snow.
It's also amazing how much I can get done when I stay up until 3 am...

Who needs Jazzercise when I can take a two hour walk to the
grocery store pulling 55 lbs worth of kids on the sled?

The fact that my husband will be stuck at work for 6 days is a lot easier to take
with the promise of overtime pay.
(He got to come home for a while today!)
I'm considering entering myself in the snow-suit bundling olympics.
I've gotten my time down to 1/2 an hour for two kids and a mama.

I will pay top price for 3-D Polar Express when I'm desperate enough.
Just so we can be as cool as these people.

Singing Christmas carols while making paper chains is my new favorite hobby.
During sleepovers next to the Christmas tree
don't be surprised when you find your 2 year old sitting in the dark looking at books at 11 pm.

The cold outside has brought warm, snuggly winter and Christmas book reading inside.
Chicken water can be filled and frozen again several times a day.
Laundry piles still manage to remain unfolded even when I have "extra" time.
And I'm ok with that.
There is nothing this mama loves more than simply being with my family.
Singing, laughing, crafting, dancing, baking, reading, eating, playing, snuggling, relaxing.

Thank you Lord, for the blessing of snow days.

Oh man, what a great post. I loooove snow days too. I love being at home with my family doing everything you said. Such a blessing, indeed.
So, you guys are HILarious in your 3D glasses, I love that you had a sleepover by the Christmas tree, your house looks gorgeous, and I'm going to march 250 miles through the snow and the sleet so I can smother your children in kisses. It's their own fault for being so adorable.
Okay, your house looks BEAUTIFUL. Like magazine-worthy pretty and festive for the holidays!
Ha about the chicken water. Us, too.
I can't believe how well Adia talks. Wow! She's darling.
I'm super impressed you pulled both kids on the sled. Way to GO! (Only Mark would do that in our family!)
Fun post! Merry Christmas!
Oooh, good post! I love blogs that have pictures! They are all so cute and your house looks gorgeous of course. I can't watch the Adia movie yet since Ted is asleep on the couch next to me and I don't want to wake him up just yet.
Okay, off to bed really...I swear...okay, maybe just one more blog to check and THEN I will!
Good night my insomniac twin!
Love all the pics Cutz and the stories!
I am totally not surprised at all that Adia was reading books at 11! That totally sounds like her.
I like Steele's hat.
Love you guys!
Wish we were neighbors during these snow days, that would be fun!
your house looks beautiful!!!
I'm glad your laundry is unfolded too.
Your house looks so gorgeous! Your garland and mistletoe are so perfect in the curved doorway, and I love how cozy and welcoming your living room looks. I could get a lot of knitting done sitting in front of that fireplace--even without a fireplace, I've been staying up late to knit, too. I have Kris's stocking done, and mine will easily be done before Christmas. Especially if this snow keeps up.
That is one hip family 3-D glasses photo--it would make a pretty sweet Christmas card. Miss Adia's video is so adorable! I love that you have sleepovers next to the Christmas tree; my sister and I used to do that every year. Your snow days sound absolutely perfect--it looks like we'll get to keep enjoying them for a few more days!
I have been waiting for you to blog. So cute! Love the house.
Can't wait to see your knitting projects. You have an incredibly even stitch. I think my Ava Ruth has those same cozy pajamas tha Adia is wearing. Very nice.
